Political Recap 017

"I'm asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington ... I'm asking you to believe in yours." Barack Obama

This is my first post in 2008 and it is about hope and about change.

We are living interesting times. This is good for America. We are heading into the New Hampshire primaries with a Woman and an African American competing for first place in that contest. Hillary Clinton is sliding in the polls, Barack Obama keeps going up in the polls and only an iceberg can stop the Obama Juggernaut in the state of New Hampshire. Things like this can only happen in the movies.

Is America ready for a Woman, an African American, or a Mormon for president?

Only time will tell. But for now the politico aficionados are having FUN riding the wave that is sweeping through the states. So, how are things looking as of this morning? Things are looking good for Obama in New Hampshire. Things are looking cloudy for Hillary in New Hampshire. Things are looking good for McCain on the GOP side of the house. Things are not looking good for Romney in New Hampshire.

As per the latest Gallup tracker Barack Obama is leading Hillary Clinton in the state of New Hampshire by THIRTEEN points. Check this from Gallup.

"Sen. Barack Obama has taken a substantial lead over Sen. Hillary Clinton among Democratic likely voters in New Hampshire, and Sen. John McCain now has a modest lead among likely Republican voters. Obama does particularly well among independents who say they will vote in the Democratic primary, and Democratic voters' choice of Obama as the Democratic candidate best able to win next November has surged since mid-December. Despite his highly publicized victory in last Thursday's Iowa caucuses, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee only marginally improved his status among Republicans compared to Gallup's mid-December poll, and is in third place -- significantly behind McCain and Mitt Romney."

I continue to be impressed with candidate Barack Obama - this man was able to beat the invincible Hillary Clinton in Iowa - a white state - showing that he can compete and win by getting the white vote. Confession time - I never saw it coming, I was one of those saying that America would never vote for an African American - I was proven wrong by the Iowa voters. Oh one thing, I want to see him doing good because I like those who beats the odds and I like the under dog. I have no idea if the trend will continue, but right now it is fun to see this man beating the odds - if he wins in New Hampshire then Hillary Clinton and the rest of the candidates will be in deep trouble, and we better fasten our seat belts because the Democratic Party campaign is about to get real ugly.

Thanks for reading!

EDWARDS and ROMNEY

Note, I want to see Obama doing good because it is good for America. But, as per my crystal ball the gold medalists in both party will be Edwards and Romney and yes I know both are facing an uphill battle !!!

New Hampshire - Final Rasmussen Tracker

As per the Final Rasmussen tracker for New Hampshire things are NOT looking good for the Hillary camp. The final Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in New Hampshire’s Democratic Presidential Primary shows Barack Obama leading Hillary Clinton 37% to 30%. But the poll that counts is the one at the end of the day when all the votes are counted. Let me be clear about this, cfs will never underestimate a Clinton [I learned that lesson a long time ago].

O.K...cfs! I'm ready and waiting for the results of New Hampshire. But I feel like I already know what the results will be as per your predictions and research. We'll see what happens...

by the way...what about the little fit of 'emotion' Hillary displayed? Act? Exhaustion? Anguish over her declining ratings?

Inspired

In ref to the primaries we can say that New Hampshire is looking good for OBAMA [as per the polls], but we have no idea what is going to happen in the Republican side of the house btwn McCain and Romney [as per the polls].

In ref to lady Hillary she did suffer a break down in front of the cameras - she was NOT acting - I believe the bad news are catching up with her. She was supposed to win it all but we know what happened in IOWA and things are NOT looking good for her in New Hampshire.

In the 1990s I learned NOT to underestimate the CLINTON gang, so, this is not over yet, and I expect the CAM [Clinton Attack Machine] to at least try to stop the Obama Juggernaut with their dirty tricks. See I told you so, politics can be fun!

Have a fine Texas evening.

New Hampshire early results

Well, things are looking GOOD for candidates McCain and Clinton on the early results. We have a long way to go, but as I have said before do not underestimate the Clintons.

ROMNEY and EDWARDS

Not looking good for the Romney's home team and NBC already declared McCain the winner in New Hampshire. This will be the second silver medal for Romney, and he needs to win in Michigan next week or he will be in deep trouble. As far as Edwards he needs to do good in the state of New Hampshire, and as of now things are NOT looking good for the Edwards' home team.
