Political Recap 018

Senator John S McCain is becoming the new comeback kid and the rest of the candidates better watch out. Next stop 01/15/2008 in Michigan.

Well, this man is not well liked by a large number of Republicans, but here we are, Senator John S McCain is now the Republican front runner and he was able to beat Mitt Romney at his own game. But remember, the game is not over until it is over and we have a long way to go on the primaries season. Note, this man is not a candidate of change, but I do not see him as a divider, as a matter of facts, I supported him in the 2000 primary vs the current failed president, but I have no plans on supporting him this time around because he represents the old guard.

Thanks for reading !!!

The poll that counts

HILLARY WINS! Every single poll told us that she was going to lose and lose big time. But the poll that counts is the poll taken when all the votes are counted. I learned a long time ago not to underestimate a Clinton.

I thought I knew, but I didn't!! This came as a complete surprise. What next?

This came as a complete surprise to all those giving Hillary for dead. But the New Hampshire voters could care less about the polls, and I believe the "Hillary Break Down" helped her big time with the senior female voters.

Next week we have 3 GOP primaries and 2 DEM primaries - and we have no idea what is going to happen in them!

Everyone was paying attention to the PERCENTAGES yesterday, but I was paying attention to the NUMBER of VOTES each candidate was getting. And I believe what we saw in Iowa was repeated yesterday in New Hampshire, the numbers on the DEM side were HUGE when compared with the GOP numbers [in Iowa the DEM was able to beat the GOP on a 2-1 margin]. The results will be posted today in the New Hampshire voters website - this could mean trouble ahead for the GOP !!!

See, I told you so, politics could be FUN again !!!

Some numbers from New Hampshire

Well, with 99 percent of the votes counted things are not pretty for the GOP in NH [it was not pretty for the GOP in Iowa - looking better in NH]:

Democratic Party votes = 278,849
Republican Party votes = 238,909

Hillary vs McCain = Hillary beats McCain by 23,791 votes

This is not pretty, I was expecting the GOP to beat the DEM to the punch in NH and [again] I was wrong.

On Good Morning America yesterday I listened to some expert say that if Romney doesn't win Michigan next week than its over for him. But their are still over forty states left to vote. Why should he throw in the towel even if that happened? I was annoyed. I think that this expert just wants Romney to give up.

You are correct. No time to give up now and no need to give up after Michigan. We have a LONG way to go. All the top tier candidates must wait, if things are not looking good after Super Duper Tuesday 02/05/2008 primaries then they need to make a decision to drop out of the race. This is not over yet.
